Life
Back
By Rebecca Goodman
A beautiful, scented flower.
I breathe in. Sigh.
A wonderful, rolling panorama of sunlit hills.
I look around. Smile.
A sweet honey drink.
I sip. Gasp with delight.
A flowing, pulsing piece of music.
I dance and twirl. Laugh.
A candle leading up into the sky.
I leave this world. Wave a sad farewell.
A new world, even greater than the one I left behind.
I sit down. Wonder.
What I did to deserve such a beautiful life?
